SmartCabinet® can store your entire organization’s content, including converted paper, digital audio, video, and CAD. And while you can browse to any document at any time, searching will probably be a more productive way of locating the documents you’re looking for.
True to its name, the quickest way to get searching is Quick Search. Clicking on Quick Search opens the Quick Search tray and reveals a basic search interface:
Across the top you’ll see two tabs and a label:
- Criteria. This tab is open by default. It’s where you specify the criteria for your search.
- Results. Clicking on this tab reveals the results of your search.
- Advanced… Clicking on this label takes you to the Advanced search screen which allows you to search by specific metadata, create your own queries or search folder metadata.
